Rugby League
Yet another tricky week of NRL tipping as Origin 3 plays havoc with a number of teams this round. I can't believe I'm actually going to say this, but I think Souths can actually win their third game in a row this week! The Cowboys are going from bad to worse, and without Thurston, will struggle at home...it may even be time to put some money on them for the wooden spoon this year... So the winners from round 16 will be!: Panthers, Roosters, Titans, Rabbitohs, Sea Eagles, Tigers, Eels and Raiders - check further below for line betting margins.
AFL
The AFL will be slightly more predictable this week with only one game looking really tight, being the Tigers vs the Blues, which I think the Blues will just come out the victors. So the winners from round 14 will be: Hawks, Blues, Kangaroos, Bulldogs, Lions, Dockers, Cats and Swans and again, check further below for line betting predictions on these matches.
Rugby Union
Just the two matches for the Rugby Union die-hards to follow this weekend, as the Wallabies host the French, and Argentina welcome the touring Italians. Both games will see wins to the home sides but its the Wallabies that will have the greater challenge dealing with Les Blues, ahead of the Tri-nations which begins in Wellington the following weekend with the All Blacks hosting the Springboks.
The Rest
And the rest... Put some early money on Federer to win Wimbledon while everyone is saying that he won't and throw something on Ivanovic to go back-to-back in Grand Slams even though grass isn't her favourite surface. The Aussie cricketers will win the ODI series in the Caribbean while the English cricketers will bounce back from their upset loss to the Kiwis and win the last 2 games...and the cheeky dollar of the week should be thrown at Aussie Guus and his Russians who will uphold a fine history of surprises at EURO 2008... and that's the Good Oil!!
